Faith
Trusting God Completely

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Hebrews 11:1, KJV
This above quote is such a perfect explanation of what faith is.
And we are blessed for having such a perfect example, because faith is most certainly needed.
This is what we learn later in the same chapter:
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
Hebrews 11:6, KJV
Without faith it is impossible to please God.
And he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
This should encourage any believer to pray and study their Bible.
And when we ready our Bible, we learn what to do.
Once we know what to do, it will produce works.
Why?
This is why:
“Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.”
James 2:17, KJV
Faith without works is dead.
Though we are saved by grace, there will also be works.
This is because it is the sign of a true conversion.
The end result is this:
“5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Proverbs 3:5–6, KJV
In all our ways we are to acknowledge him, and when we do that, he will direct our paths.
What a powerful promise.
Let’s do our best to have faith which produces works.
I hope you were blessed by this message.
Reflection:
What does living by faith look like in your life?
When has your faith been tested?
Prayer Suggestion
Heavenly Father, strengthen my faith so that it is more than words—let it be shown through my actions. Help me to trust You fully, even when I cannot see the outcome. Teach me to walk by faith, not by sight, and to honor You in all that I do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
