Peace
God’s calm assurance in our hearts
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
John 14:27, KJV
Jesus said he will give us peace.
Not as the world gives, but as He does.
It is the kind of peace that passes all understanding:
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:7, KJV
It is the peace of God, and it truly can not be understood through any other means.
God is able to give us peace; no matter what we are going through.
To have this peace, all we have to do is keep our mind on Him:
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”
Isaiah 26:3, KJV
When we trust in God; when we know his thoughts toward are of peace, and not of evil, then we will not be troubled - we’ll be at peace.
This kind of peace is not of this world.
Yet, it is something that is available to everyone who believes in the most High.
Put your trust in Him and ask Him to give you this peace that is promised to us.
My prayer is for all of us to experience it.
